CHILDREN’S FACILITIES
Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort boasts the best facilities in Fiji for children, including the Little Chief’s Club and a Stay and Eat Free program.
ACCOMMODATION
Children aged 16 years and under can stay for free in a room when sharing with parents. A maximum of two children are permitted in Ocean View and Lagoon View rooms and suites. A maximum of three children in Family Rooms and Bures.
LITTLE CHIEF’S CLUB
This is a complimentary club for children aged between 2 and 12 years old. Open everyday from 9am to 12noon and 1pm to 5pm. To join the club, children simply need to register at the Little Chief’s Bure, which is a special children’s play area next to the children’s park. Resort staff supervise these fun children’s activities so parents can get a break. The activity programs are designed for 2 to 6 year olds and for 7 to 12 year olds. They include drawing, face painting, fish feeding, Mad Hatter’s parties, swimming races, storytelling and much more. During peak periods a program also operates for 13 to 18 years.
BABYSITTING
Fijian babysitters are available for FJD$15.00 for a minimum for three hours and thereafter at FJD$5.00 per hour. A maximum of three children are permitted per babysitter. Available from 7am to 1am.
OTHER BABY SERVICES & INFORMATION
Cots These are provided on a complimentary basis, on request with linen.
Fresh Baby Food This can be prepared by our chefs on request including mixed vegetables an pureed stewed fruits. A small selection of canned baby food is also usually available from the Resort Shop.
Kettles (with removable lids) are provided in every room.
Milk All milk is UHT Longlife and Soya milk is also available.
Water Bottles still water is available from the Resort Shop.
KIDS EAT AND STAY FREE
Up to two children per room up to 12 years and under, eat for free with the following conditions:
q Free Buffet Breakfast at Lagoon Terrace or Takali Restaurant when accompanied by parents during the same buffet.
q Free children’s buffet lunch served from 12noon to 1:30pm, usually at Golden Cowrie Restaurant.
q Free children’s buffet dinner served from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Location varies according to occupancy levels. This special children’s buffet consists of a selection to include dishes such as soup, chicken pieces, mini hamburgers, pizza, lasagne, vegetables and sandwiches. Buffet desserts are also included. Children’s activity co-ordinators are on hand to entertain the children. Parents are welcome to join their children in a supervisory role.
q Children may dine with parents for free at buffets served at the Lagoon or Beach Bar & Grill.
q Children may order from the a la carte menu on the basis of half portion/half price.
q Additional children pay FJD$18.00 per day direct to Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort.
