Kids Stay, Play & Eat Free! KIDS STAY FREE At The Rarotongan Beach Resort, Kids Stay Free! Up to 2 children 12 years and under Stay Free! When sharing with parents - includes rollaway/s as necessary. Two additional children may stay in the self-contained Two-bedroom Garden Suites to a maximum of 2 adults and 4 children. For 2 adults with 3 or more children: a second family room is available at 25% discount, and children also receive full Moko's inclusions. Interconnecting or adjoining rooms are available on request, subject to availability. Complimentary cots (cribs) and baby baths are available on request. Microwaves are available for hire (NZ$10 per day) subject to availability. A television and video can be hired for NZ$10 each per day, however all Suites do come equipped with a television and video. KIDS PLAY FREE The Moko's Kids Club is open year round and provides a large, colourful, well-resourced and supervised clubhouse for children aged 3-12 years inclusive. This is FREE to all inhouse guests. The clubhouse has an extensive range of toys, books, paints & crafts, puzzles, board games, Lego, sports equipment, trampoline, swings, ride-ons, indoor sandpit, playshop, computer games, Playstations, television and video, and much, much more. Kids also receive a complimentary snack and drink at each session. Children under 3 years are also welcome to join in the fun with the supervision of a parent or babysitter. The Club caters to kids aged 3 to 12 years inclusive, maximum of 1 child per adult, offering a fully supervised and comprehensive kids' activity programme from Monday to Saturday, 9am-noon, 2pm-5pm & 7pm-9pm. The emphasis at the Moko's Kids Club is on fun combined with learning about the unique natural world and cultural heritage of Rarotonga - the island volcano, the rainforest plants and creatures, tropical fruits, life on the coral reef, and the local customs of the people, from drumming, dancing, outrigger canoeing, and ei (flower garland) making, to the 101 uses of the Tree of Life, the coconut palm. The Club's extensive resources include computer games, videos, a library with a good selection of books (both fact and fiction), painting & drawing materials, a large range of toys, games, musical instruments, and play and sports equipment with the emphasis on beach and lagoon activities such as snorkelling, swimming and beach volleyball. But the Club's biggest asset is undoubtedly its Cook Islands' caregivers, famed for their unaffected warmth and genuine friendliness. Under 3's are also able to join in the fun at the Moko's Kids Club if accompanied by a parent or babysitter. No minimum stay applies for kids to take advantage of these great, free Moko's benefits. BABYSITTING Day and evening babysitting service is also available at a cost of $NZ10 per hour, paid direct by the client at the Resort. Bookings should be made 24 hours in advance and are subject to the availability of babysitters. There is a limit of 2 children per sitter. KIDS EAT FREE All guests 12 and under Eat Free at The Rarotongan! Applies to the special Kids Menu anytime, and buffet breakfast and dinner, 7am to 9pm. Children must be accompanied at all meals by parents who are themselves dining. The Resort offers a Lagoonside Veranda Restaurant and a Poolside Cafe/Bar. THE MOKO'S KIDS CLUB IS OPEN: Monday - Saturday, year round, Session 1 - 9am-12noon Session 2 - 2pm-5pm Session 3 - 7pm-9pm KIDS ACTIVITIES PROGRAMME The friendly Moko's Kids Club team offers kinds the chance to learn about the unique and exotic nature and culture of Rarotonga through a varied daily programme of fun hands-on activities. Each day's theme (such as Marine day, Moko day, Cultural day, Field tour day, Artistic day or Fun & Relaxing day) is developed through a range of exciting discovery activities designed so that kids enjoy learning about the spectacular marine and terrestrial environments of Rarotong, and the unique cultural activities such as island ura dancing, log drumming and flower garland (ei) making that are still very much alive here. And all Moko's Kids Club kids receive a Fun Welcome Pack on arrival at The Rarotonga! Kids staying outside the Resort may use the Moko's Kids Club for a fee NZ$20 per session per child.
