Port Douglas is a sea-side village located on Queensland's Far North Coast, around an hour north of Cairns. It is a great base for visiting the Great Barrier Reef with plenty of day trips available. Just north of Port Douglas is the world's oldest living forest, the Daintree. Explore this ancient rainforest by yourself or take advantage of the abundance of tours available. Port Douglas has a warm climate year round. Average winter temperatures are from 17 degrees Celsius to 25 with low rainfall, and summer temps range from 23 degrees Celsius to 30 with high rainfall and humidity.
